Avni Qenaj from the village of Romaj is a former member of the Kosovo Liberation Army who was arrested in Serbia on Tuesday. This was confirmed by the deputy leader of the OVL-UCK, Gazmend Syla.
“Avni Qenaj from the village of Romaj somewhere in the Prizren district also served during the war in the “138 Agim Ramadani” brigade,” Syla told Demos.
He added that the reasons why the former soldier left Serbia are unknown, but he has moved from this country several times.
“He has moved several times and has had no problems,” he told the Demos Newspaper.
He further added that they have not yet had any communication with the former soldier’s family.
