Albanians in North Macedonia also celebrated the holiday of November 28, Albanian Flag Day.
On the occasion of this holiday, several citizens on horseback, dressed in national costumes and holding national flags, paraded through the streets of Tetovo.
In honor of this important date for the Albanian nation, festive activities were held in primary and secondary schools in Tetovo.
“On the eve of the Flag Day, the Independence Day of Albania, we as the municipality of Tetova, like every year, are supporting all the activities that are being held in almost every primary and secondary school in the Municipality of Tetova,” said Albi Qamili, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Tetova.
November 28th was also marked in a festive atmosphere at the “Ismail Qemali” school in Skopje.
The Mayor of Cair, Izet Mexhiti, also joined this ceremony.
“This ceremony takes on special significance because it takes place in a school named after the independence leader Ismail Qemali, whose name is as connected to this day as the flag that flies proudly because it was he who gave the nation direction, vision, and clarity in the most crucial moments of our history,” he said.
For the Flag Day, all Albanian political leaders in North Macedonia have conveyed their congratulations to all Albanians.
