Hi everyone,
For the fourth day in less than 2 weeks, one of the busiest traffic lights in Malta are once again not working for a whole day. The authorities concerned have all been informed about this, yet no action has been taken. We are literally left trying to cross the streets in complete darkness in one of the busiest crossings in Malta.
I would like to ask anyone who is willing to help with reporting any issues with walkability and infrastructure to the respective authorities, making our voices heard so finally they wake up and start doing what they are paid from our taxes to do, otherwise they will keep on taking us residents for a ride until tragedies happen.
Anyone who is equally concerned about the lack of walkability infrastructure in their localities please make sure to email the authorities concerned on:
info. im @ infrastructuremalta .com
info. tm @ transport. gov .mt
chris.bonett @ gov .mt
customercare.mtip @ gov. mt
Together we can all make a difference.

It’s nothing new. When they were rebuilding Tal-Balal the traffic lights in San Ä wann would also mysteriously stop working very often. They were clearly doing it on purpose to move car traffic faster, whilst risking people’s lives in the process. They simply do not care about anyone who is not in a motor vehicle.
You need to carry one of these with you when you’re crossing

They don’t give a fuck about anyone outside of a motor vehicle. This project is for putting money in friends’ pockets, not improving anything, especially not for pedestrians and cyclists.
