Those of you who like to shop online and hunt for good discounts have probably already heard about the eKupi campaign We rock on Fridays.
For those who don’t know, it’s a campaign where every Friday at exactly 10 or 12 o’clock they publish a series of promo codes on the IG story for the supposedly “fastest 10”, with a discount of 50% or more.
For weeks, in the comments, people complain that items disappear in the first minute, the page crashes, the shopping cart doesn’t work, or everything falls apart at checkout. Almost no one reports that they actually managed to buy something. Because of all that, I decided to take part in that action one Friday, and document everything because it no longer seemed like a simple coincidence.
Below are a couple of pictures, each with a description of what exactly happened.
To be honest, I just wanted to buy the product according to the terms they published themselves, and when everything fell apart at the checkout, I wanted to get a normal explanation.
Instead, I first got an answer that just wasn’t true. It wasn’t until I asked them for specific information like the CorvusPay logo, the transaction ID and the actual proof of the rejection – the story changed and the complaint suddenly became valid.
Therefore, if one of you finds yourself in a similar situation, don’t settle for generic answers. You are looking for specific information, you are looking for proof of a transaction, you are looking for CorvusPay records. When they see that you know what you’re looking for, it quickly becomes clear what the real problem is.
I didn’t go to screw them, their actions created the impression that they were actually trying to screw me. That’s why I think it’s fair to customers that these experiences are shared and that people know what questions to ask.
The rest is in the pictures, so judge for yourself.
