Northern arabs have got to be our closest and most welcoming demographic. Were it not for our prejudice, history and maybe differences in religion we’d integrate better with them than with any other European country. Almost in every foreign country I met an Arab I’ve always been treated good by them. There is obviously then the things they do that puts them on the news, but apart from that chill overall population.

You are always going to have greater commonality with a linguistic overlap. The language you use to think your thoughts defines your reality, the language you share with others means you will speak and hear of the same reality. Maltese has a semitic root, there is no refuting this. If you don’t want any Arabs, Levantines or other Semites in Malta, then you better get rid of the Maltese language!
