Isaac Bonga, the starting forward of the German national team, will miss the game against Cyprus in Round 2 of the FIBA World Cup qualifiers.
Isaac Bonga was available to Germany for the game against Israel, but he will now return to Belgrade, where he will rejoin Partizan’s training sessions.
At the press conference, Germany coach Alex Mumbru stated that three players will leave the national team, while David Kramer will join the squad:
“Some players who were with us during the summer — Oscar Da Silva, Justus Hollatz and Isaac Bonga — are now going back home. Kramer is coming; even though he plays in the EuroLeague, he was injured during the summer and is fresher than the other guys, so he will go with us.” – the Germany coach said.
Bonga will return to Belgrade ready to face the chaotic situation in the club at the moment, not knowing if Zeljko Obradovic will stay on as Partizan coach or not. Meanwhile, Germany will play Cyprus on December 1st, and the qualifiers will continue in February, when they will visit Croatia.
