The European Union will allocate €20 million to strengthen Moldova’s air defense in light of violations of its airspace by Russian drones.

The EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, who posted the corresponding post on X, stressed that airspace violations are unacceptable and threaten civil aviation.

As part of this initiative, the EU is providing Moldova with €20 million this year to strengthen its air defense and bolster the country’s security.
