Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi received from Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski proposals for filling vacant positions in the Government, after First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment, Izet Mexhiti, became mayor of the municipality of Chair, announced Gashi’s cabinet.

Mickoski proposes Bekim Saliu as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affairs and Muhamed Hoxha as Minister of Environment. The Prime Minister also proposes the dismissal of Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani.

Sali, who is an MP from the Alternative coalition, is replacing Murtezan. We recall that Sali was also Minister of Health in the previous government.

Hoxha, who comes from Medjit’s Democratic Movement, is a former spokesman for the governments of Zoran Zaev and Dimitar Kovachevski, and will now head the Ministry of Ecology.

There is currently no information on when the Speaker of the Assembly will schedule the parliamentary session to elect the new Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affairs, as well as the Minister of the Environment./Telegraph/
