The Zurich cantonal police have arrested four people of Kosovo origin during an operation carried out on Monday night, December 1, 2025, in Weinfelden (TG).
According to Swiss media, the police were targeting a group of highly professional thieves, who are already responsible for dozens of crimes in Switzerland.
The perpetrators, who came from France, were observed breaking into a commercial property around midnight.
During the operation, police arrested three Kosovars aged 35 to 53.
One of the thieves managed to escape, but was caught about two hours later; he was a 40-year-old man from Kosovo.
The operation was carried out in cooperation with the Public Prosecutor’s Office II of the Canton of Zurich and involved a large number of forces, including detectives, a police helicopter and police dog units.
A police dog prevented the escape of one of the perpetrators, enabling his arrest in time.
Investigations into the group’s criminal activities continue.
