The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office (ODT) in Podgorica has ordered the detention of Serbian citizen EH and North Macedonian citizen BS for up to 72 hours, due to reasonable suspicion that during November this year, in the territory of Podgorica, they committed several serious thefts by breaking into catering, commercial and other business premises.

This was announced today by the ODT in Podgorica.

“There is suspicion that EH entered the buildings and took money, while BS secured the area, after which they shared the illegally obtained property gain,” the statement states.

The Podgorica State Prosecutor’s Office said that proceedings are also being conducted against EH on suspicion of forging a document.

“When he was arrested, he was in possession of valid personal documents from the Republic of Serbia, as well as suspicious foreign documents. It was also determined that an international arrest warrant had been issued for him. Both suspects were detained due to the risk of flight,” the statement reads.
