Poland 2050 submits a draft law regulating short-term rentals. This is their fifth housing law

It is worth recalling the broader context.

PL2050 housing bills submitted so far:

– Disclosure of offer prices of apartments (entered into force);
– Warranty for development contracts (entered into force);
– Release of real estate transaction prices (with the president’s signature, will soon enter into force);
– Eliminating the sale of square meters under walls (adopted by the parliamentary committee);
– Short-term rental regulation (newly submitted).

Work in progress on:

– intermediaries taking commissions from both parties to the transaction (an expert opinion was commissioned to the Sejm Research Office).

Other:

– Blocking the 0% loan (i.e. billions of zlotys for subsidies for developers and increasing housing prices under the guise of supporting Polish families);
– A record PLN 5 BILLION for social housing in the 2026 budget;
– PLN 400 million for the construction of public university dormitories in the first half of 2026, with the possibility of increasing financing in the second half.

I’m sure I missed something else.

BONUS:

The Supreme Audit Office, at the request of Minister Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, is auditing the PiS program "Safe Credit 2%"which contributed to the largest increase in housing prices since 2007.

Housing policy finally exists and we need to notice who is making it.

Meanwhile, the Left has a minister for housing and the cadastral tax project, which they openly announced in recent days, has already been implemented today. "denied" by Czarzasty.

There was a time when Zandberg was making fun of Pełczyńska’s housing agenda on X, but it seems that there has finally been a sobering up. And nice.

Let me quote Pełczyńska’s slogan:
