Translation: Canada negotiated in good faith, has a lot to offer and does not have several internal political organisations that continually say they’ll withdraw from such agreements if they get elected because Europe bad. Who could have seen this coming?
Not to mention that both the EU and Canada are moving towards the post US world while all we can do is pretend the orange nonce king is a normal US president. Turns out that special relationship was great until it isn’t. Our future absolutely lies with the neighbours but I fear it’ll be a while before reality sinks in.

The EU*(Read France)* wants to makes sure that the EU buys EU*(Read French)* made weapons and that’s fine!
We still make some things that the EU will all but have to source from us, and some of that fund can still be used for countries to buy it. Then then countries can pay out of their own pockets to buy the rest when war arrives on their doorstep.
It’s rather comfortable here across the water. Time to stockpile to sell later!

Well, the Torygraph was screaming that we should be out and now they get angry at the consequences of this.

This is, once again, due to the French and their whole anti UK sentiment.

I don’t get why the EU is acting like Boris is still in charge.

Because Canada doesn’t threaten France’s chances of getting those juicy juicy contracts.

Can we stop naively pretending the EU are our friends now? Their economic policy is purely in their own self-interest, exactly the same as the USA’s is, and exactly as ours should be.
