Greece’s Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will bring its “Rebrain Greece” initiative to New York on Sunday aiming to link Greek professionals abroad with businesses in Greece.
The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the New York Marriott Marquis.
Following similar stops in Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, London and Stuttgart, the program targets highly skilled Greeks living and working in the US and Canada, exploring opportunities for collaboration with leading Greek companies. Eurostat data show that of the 660,000 Greeks who emigrated during the economic crisis, 420,000 have already returned.
Thirty-five firms across sectors including technology, AI, R&D, finance, energy, shipping, healthcare, construction, telecommunications, media and tourism will participate. Key participants include Aegean Airlines, Alpha Bank, COSMOTE, Deloitte, Pfizer, TITAN Group and HELLENiQ Energy.
The event provides networking, recruitment and collaboration opportunities for the diaspora and Greece-based businesses.
