For slot gambling machines, the rate will increase from 6,204 euros to 7,440 euros per calendar year;

For roulette, card and dice games (per table) the charge per calendar year will increase from 33,696 euros to 40,440 euros;

For betting, the rate will increase from 15% to 18% of the revenues and for bingo the rate will increase from 10% to 12% of the revenue from organizing this game.

Similarly for online interactive gambling, the rate will increase from 12% to 15% of the revenue from organizing the game.

The Ministry of Finance expects that these changes will generate an additional 9.2 million euros in revenue, with a small portion – about 175,000 euros of that total – going towards local government budgets.

The new gambling tax rates will increase from January 1, 2026. A one-year transition period was previously planned for the rate increase, but that has now been nixed – a move that is likely to result in gambling companies calling foul.
