He may not have used AI, but he definitely used ‘artistic license’ on a screenshot to present a handful of shops as ‘foreign’, when they weren’t…
Not sure why he would feel the need to do this, but sometimes we can consider Occam’s Razor as a useful tool.
I think he was in Croydon in that screenshot. And yeah the video in London I saw was pretty pathetic with unconvincing scare mongering. Compared to the videos he’s done in some other European cities makes me feel good about London especially how endemic pickpocketing is in places like Barcelona whereas we still generally have it pretty good.
That second video of him walking down a calm British street and trying to make out it was dangerous came across like a south African Alan partridge. Imagine being such a melt you think you need a bodyguard on Oxford street while, checks notes, harassing old women.
This is the big problem with the attention economy. I’d never heard of him before this. But if you do something wrong people rush to criticise you and correct you and it boosts your profile and now this racist liar is more famous than ever.
I have a friend who makes harmless football content. He told me he makes little factual mistakes on propose because people leave comments to correct him and the more comments you have the more algorithm boosts your videos.

Is this guy popular among Tiktok users? The video was laughably ridiculous. Like, I couldn’t quite tell if it was supposed to be a satire of the far right.
For anyone who is wise enough not to watch it, it’s a big arian-looking white guy walking along a very peaceful-looking London street on a weekday, where there are just a few people out and about doing their shopping, and he’s trying to make out that it’s some kind of war zone.
So little happens that he starts making comments that “things are starting to kick off” when a fire engine goes past 😂 and commenting about how intimidating it is to walk past a gay bar.
The funniest thing is that he’s got some kind of bodyguard walking with him, to protect him from the old ladies doing their shopping in London.
No wonder he had to Photoshop robbers into the video thumbnail.

Not surprising because this has become a very weirdly popular area of Youtube that a lot of grifters are leaning into – essentially ‘I go around this area I perceive to be shit, and show you how the west has fallen’. All for a far-right audience so even the more subtle ‘content creators’ who do travel videos around the UK will lean into it. The odd ‘ooooh this place isn’t how I remember it’ or the ‘oooh lots of turkish barbers now’ comments.
Kurt Caz is one of the more out and out ones doing this and he’s a proper fucking weirdo but there’s loads doing it. And they’ll all have similar thumbnails (usually a non-white person looking aggro and a run down shop). Been going on for a few years so it’s weird that this is one that’s making some sort of news site.
The far-right are so angry but don’t really know what about, so they make up things to get angry about by doctoring, tampering or fully creating images to express what makes them angry in their “colourful” imagination.
It’s been an issue for years, like every year it’s expected people will say “oh they’re getting rid of Christmas” yet clearly whoever “they” are, isn’t and aren’t getting rid of Christmas. It’s making things up to get angry, because feeling angry is important to some.
This is exactly what’s wrong with critical thinking in the UK. People who rely on images but not facts. It’s worrying as AI generated images and edited images are already causing issues, that for the clearly undereducated (on any side of the political spectrum) it’s going to cause huge problems, and once they get it in their heads it’s difficult to get it out. It’s very much a mud sticks situation – the damage is already done and no one wants to fix it.
The Bell Hotel is a fine example of people sharing images of Starmer handing out smartphones and dollars (for some reason) to asylum seekers on boats, Antifa, and a worrying amount of obvious American nonsense.
The critical thinking classes schools are bringing in for 2027 need to be here now, and for adults as well as children.
It’s part of a broader issue of people and the media manufacturing stories, where they can’t find anything to report on and instead make stuff up to justify biases, forgetting they made it up and then start to rely on it as if it were real.
For example: the Torygraph, Times et al claiming Reeves lied to them and the public about the budget, based on the stories they fabricated because they needed to make a story to report on.
Some responses I’ve seen on this topic hit my biggest pet peeve of people arguing in bad faith by missing the point of the article..
