Swedish company Greencarrier AB has acquired a 60% stake in Container Norway Utleie AS, a specialist in container sales, rental and development, becoming the firm’s majority owner.
Greencarrier said the acquisition “strengthens its ambition to broaden its offering for both existing logistics customers and companies seeking customised container solutions for specialised applications or storage.”
Founded in 1994, Container Norway Utleie AS supplies a wide range of container solutions to customers across Norway. The company operates from its office in Oslo and maintains depots across southern Norway, including Stavanger, Fredrikstad, Larvik, Drammen, Moss and Bergen.
The company will retain its current name. Existing owners Øyvind Degnes and Jan Krokedal will remain minority shareholders, and Øyvind Degnes will continue as CEO.
“Container Norway has built a strong and reputable operation, and together we see significant potential to broaden our offering and meet growing customer needs. This acquisition strengthens our capabilities within the logistics sector and enables us to deliver even greater value to our customers,” says Fredrik Hermansson, Business Development Manager at Greencarrier.
“Since the 1990s, I have had the privilege of building and leading Container Norway. Partnering with Greencarrier provides a strengthened foundation for continuing to deliver container solutions that meet and exceed our customers’ expectations. I look forward to further developing the business in the years ahead,” says Øyvind Degnes, CEO of Container Norway Utleie AS.
