THE WAR AGAINST DOCTORS. But before you accuse me of anything, I’m definitely not advocating cheating the system. However, one must ask whether the current situation is merely a cause or a consequence of state policy. I will quickly present 3 pieces of evidence for this opinion:

  1. It’s the Medical Chamber published a pollwhere doctors voted on what they most want in their jobs. In the first three places were work-life balance, good relations with colleagues and the possibility of research. "Good salary" was only in 9th place. This survey suggests that the government could do much more for doctors by improving working conditions than by raising wages. The fact that the government has been on completely opposite sides with them for 2 years doesn’t help.

  2. Evidence number 2. Departures of maxiofacial surgeons at UKC. They both emphasized in the mediayes "our decision to leave the Ljubljana clinical center is not related to the level of salary, but to two key factors: unorganized and professionally unsustainable working conditions for many years, which no longer allow for the high-quality performance of the most demanding surgical procedures."

  3. Also fired the orthopedist responded tripped over working conditions and disagreements with management. Again, I’m not advocating cheating the system, but as the article says, this orthopedist is not the kind of person who would scratch his balls at work and then do it all in the afternoon. This is the person who leads the number of orthopedic surgeries performed in Slovenia within the parent hospital within the entire public healthcare system. And why did he come into conflict with the leadership? Because they didn’t want to reward the sisters properly. We are back to bad working conditions. The nurses received an allowance of 120 euros for 60 additional operations per month. Probably the nurses at the concessionaire are paid more fairly.

  4. Conclusion. I certainly do not defend the orthopedist and this affair. But I want to emphasize that such things will always happen within such a system, because the working conditions are not regulated, and the government does not have even a second to really listen to health care.

Tam so zgolj rutinske a dobro plačane operacije.
