Norway is in the World Cup for the first time since 1998, which means fans finally get to see Erling Haaland on the sports’ grandest stage.
Haaland — who plays for Manchester City and just became the fastest player in Premier League history to 100 goals — was as prolific a goal-scorer for country as he is for club. Haaland scored 16 goals in Norway’s eight World Cup qualifiers. He has 55 goals in 48 appearances for Norway.
Managed by Ståle Solbakken, Norway will have a formidable squad at the World Cup, with Haaland serving as the frontman. Forward Alexander Sørloth and midfielder Martin Ødegaard are other key players for Norway.
