      It’s a good turn of events, however I would like the compensation to not be so huge for them.

      There should be no compensation if your business is inherently immoral – at least I don’t remember our government offering any compensation for loan sharks back in 2022.

      It’s fucking stupid. If it works, it shouldn’t be broken, but alas some people just want to feel the moral high ground.

      Apart from obvious moral concern, high quality synthetic is just a superior product. Looks just as good, is cheaper, way more comfortable, requires less maintenance and you can get it in any color and structure imaginable.

      Is “my coat comes with suffering of countless small animals” really an ultimate flex? It’s like lab diamonds – they are just as durable and way more perfect. Most naturals look just like nice cubic zirconia in comparison, but I guess you can always say “but mine was dug up by a slave worker in unsafe conditions of a third world mine”.

      “the world’s top fur producers” – Bribes in Warsaw must have been HUGE. Other countries are already updating their Excel spreadsheets.

      Part of the reason this law went through is that people living near these farms spoke up. Sadly, if this was only about the animals the law would not go through

      Probably one of our “ally” want to sell them too but cant produce it cheaper than we do so we just ban them.
