Ukraine and Bulgaria Agree on Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Bulgaria – Andriy Sibiga and Georg Georgiev – spoke by phone about the next steps to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The Ukrainian foreign minister posted on X, highlighting mutual support and the region’s security challenges.

As the diplomat noted, the participants outlined the prospects for cooperation and stressed the intention to move forward across a broad range of areas – from security to economy and energy.

In the context of the discussions, the Bulgarian side also emphasized the importance of reliable and long-term security guarantees for Ukraine and the need to respect the UN Charter and the fundamental principles of international law in future peace agreements.
