The whole world’s sudden realisation that solar is literally free money. See Spain and Pakistan installing ridiculous amounts of it.

A solar plant called Helios? *Fallout New Vegas flashbacks intensify*

>> Enso Energy has announced that the 190MW Helios renewable energy project has secured consent
>> project consent allows for the installation of ground-mounted solar arrays … supporting the generation of more than 50MW of electricity.
I realise that 190 is more than 50, but is there a reason why it’s phrased that way ? Is there something missing that would explain this discrepancy / weird word choice ?

Every 5 days the sun delivers more energy than all Earth’s Fossil fuel reserves combined. That’s why it’s called renewable energy.
When we scale fossil fuel energy its price plateaus, as the increasing cost of extracting it offsets the productivity gains of better tech.
The opposite happens with renewables, the more we scale it, the cheaper it gets.
Electrons are so much easier to deal with than molecules; all electrotec is fundamentally more efficient than pyrotech.
This is just the beginning, we will have a new electrified economy that will bankrupt the oligarchs.

jobs and energy security. all good thing. You can see Germany fucking it up with their approach to nuclear and reliance on France and the import of more fossil fuels. Glad the UK is heading in the correct direction. I just hope we can speed up our nuclear.
Some of the stories of sickly paint C just drive me mad. more concrete more steel used for no real use other then pointless measures.
