The 18th and final artist in our Who Is series for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is Eliza Borg from Malta.
Eliza Borg is 12 years old and comes from Naxxar in the Northern Region of Malta. She first began singing two years ago. Since then, she has taken part in numerous local and international music competitions, earning recognition and praise for her unique tone and heartfelt delivery. Apart from singing, Eliza is also interested in dancing.
Eliza was selected to represent Malta at Junior Eurovision 2025 after winning the second season of The Voice Kids Malta.
The song that Eliza will perform in Tbilisi is called “I Believe”. It was written by Destiny Chukunyere and Matt “Muxu” Mercieca and was composed by Elton Zarb. Destiny Chukunyere won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 for Malta with “Not My Soul” and later went on to represent Malta in Eurovision 2020 and 2021. Matt “Muxu” Mercieca and Elton Zarb composed both of the Maltese Junior Eurovision winners; “The Start” by Gaia Cauchi and “Not My Soul”. They also composed “Diamonds”, the Maltese entry for Junior Eurovision 2014.

Malta debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 and has gone on to win the contest twice. In 2013, on their return to the competition in Kyiv, Gaia Cauchi won the contest with “The Start”. She was the first winner of a Eurovision event for Malta. In 2015, Destiny Chukunyere took victory in Sofia with the song “Not My Soul”. The country has hosted the contest twice, the first time in 2014 and then again in 2016.
