Greetings from Bulgaria!

I have partial Greek ancestry and more specifically I am a descendant of Greeks from Ganos, Eastern Thrace (Ganites). This year I finally managed to trace my family, which families I belong to, etc., and I even visited my great-grandfather’s ancestral home in Ganos.
But I have very few old photos of my family – hardly any. But recently an uncle of mine found a very old family photo, probably from the period 1890–1920. The problem is that there is no one alive anymore who can recognize the faces…
But I noticed that on one edge of the photo there is a very worn logo or signature of the photographer/studio where the photo was taken. Can anyone help or guide me?
After 1923 my family settled in Eleftheroupolis, Kavala.
Thank you in advance!

PS I apologize if there are mistakes in the text – I’m using artificial intelligence for the translation, because my Greek is only good enough to order a round!

  2. You could write this in english but anyway, do you know in what region that photo could possibly have been taken in? Also this is an English logo, it feels very uncommon for an old greek photographer to have an English logo like that.
