Europe did well in the CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup 2026, the trophy that Allianz Milano won in 2021, but the conditions of the arena made the trip to North Macedonia extremely complicated. The clear and decisive 3-0 victory in an hour and two minutes for the Milanese team took place in prohibitive conditions for a high-level match. Polar temperatures on the pitch prevented morning training for both coach Roberto Piazza’s team and Kristian Risteski’s team. The “SRC 25 Maggio” arena in Radovis was the real negative protagonist of the 16th first round of the trophy, with the CEV incredibly shrugging its shoulders.
