I understand why they did it. But doesnt that kinda defeat the purpose of the bilateral agreements among the EU countries

  2. This is good 👍 Shows Europe have agency and political will to enforce own position against Kremlin madness – despite US and Russian tricks and traps, etc. Step of normal independency, imho.

To be fair, i can’t wait for this guy to loose his position.

He will have to run to russia and exile there or finish his day in jail for the massive amount of corruption he is responsable of. I miss the cold war era sometimes, this guy would have chock on a bretzel ling time ago.

  4. What if they announced that any oligarch could instantly get their money back if Putin were barred from holding office

Give them an incentive to get rid. By now they must realise that they made more money by playing along

  5. This is absolutely terrific, even ignoring the specific issue at hand. If this goes through, the EU can use this loophole as a precedent to make other decisions based on a majority basis and ignore the veto of individual member states on important issues. It would completely transform the way the EU works.

To je jako opasno za nas ako počnu s Mađarima kasnije mogu sve male države preglasavati.

Never underestimate the ability of annoyed European bureaucrats to find a loopwhole in Paragraph 12, Subsection C when they are tired of your shit. The EU moves slowly, but it grinds fine.
