On Friday, December 12th, the charity marathon “Dod pieci!” (High Five!) will begin, kicking off at 8:50 p.m. with a charity concert broadcast live on Latvian Public Media (LSM).
On December 12th, starting at 9 a.m., a charity food truck will be driving around the streets of Rīga, visiting four locations in the capital:
- 9:00 a.m. at the Luminor Bank headquarters in Skanste;
- At 12:00 p.m. at the Domina Shopping mall;
- At 3:00 p.m. at the Spice mall;
- At 6:00 p.m. at the Āgenskalns market.
Donation opportunities for the charity marathon “High Five!”
The funds raised during “High Five!” will be transferred to Ziedot.lv, and the charity organisation will help pay for physiotherapy, occupational therapy, therapeutic massage, hydrotherapy, and physical procedures that are not directly the responsibility of the state or local government or for which budget funding is not available, but which significantly improve the functional condition of children and young people. Each donation will thus become an investment in a child’s ability to move, learn, become independent, and live a full life.
From December 1st to 18th, you can exchange your donation for your favourite song on Latvian Radio 5 via electronic payment on the website dod.pieci.lv. From December 12th to 18th, cash and non-cash donations will also be accepted at the charity marathon’s glass studio in Doma Square.
Until January 4th, 2026, every Latvian resident will be able to support “High Five!” by donating at “Narvesen” stores throughout Latvia. When purchasing a hot drink in special “High Five” mugs, 10 cents will be donated to the marathon’s cause. Support can also be provided by placing donations in donation boxes or adding a donation to the purchase amount when paying by bank card.
Until January 6th, 2026, donations will be accepted on the charity organisation Ziedot.lv website www.ziedot.lv or by calling 90204110 (call charge €5).
