The Kosovo Police, in close cooperation and coordination with the American Embassy in Pristina, announces that today, December 12 from 15:00 PM -21:00 PM, it will conduct a large-scale exercise in Pristina, including the area near the American Embassy building, which is located in the Arbëria neighborhood of Pristina.

The announcement states that the joint exercises of the Kosovo Police and the US Embassy are an indicator of further strengthening of security cooperation and ensuring readiness in managing and responding to emergency situations and any possible incident in Kosovo.

“This exercise aims to test the response time, effectiveness and efficiency of officials and equipment, as well as communication and coordination between relevant units and institutions in emergency situations, where it is required to guarantee a safe environment for citizens, diplomatic staff and Kosovo institutions,” the announcement states.

The announcement further states that participation in this exercise will include increased presence of Kosovo Police and US Embassy security personnel, increased use of various police tools and equipment such as loudspeakers, sirens, and various police logistics vehicles.

“So, this will only be an exercise and not a police action against a real incident, so we ask for full cooperation and understanding from citizens, and in particular from traffic participants, to avoid traffic in the area around the American Embassy in Pristina – Arbëria neighborhood at this time, due to the development of the exercise and the temporary interruption of traffic on several road segments in that area,” it further states. /Telegraph/
