    Italian healthcare spending (8.4% of GDP) remains below the EU average, with a privately financed share (24% out-of-pocket) among the highest in Europe

    Italy excels at preventing avoidable deaths, with the second lowest rate in the EU, and has the lowest hospitalization rates for chronic conditions (asthma, heart failure, diabetes) thanks to strong primary care

    The main Achilles’ heel remains the waiting lists, the first barrier to access reported by 7.6% of the population. The times for elective surgeries are among the shortest in Europe, but the bottlenecks are in the diagnostic phase and the first specialist visit

      Se Svezia e Italia sono pari ma la Svezia è migliorata molto di recente (guardare livelli 2014 e 2004), non ha senso metter la Svezia prima visto il trend?

      A meno che Italia sia tipo 84,13 e Svezia 84,11 e quindi pur avendoli approssimati entrambi per difetto l’Italia è superiore
