  1. How exactly does SpaceX plan to justify an IPO in less than a year for 2x the price they are setting themselves at today (which is already 2x than what they were valued at in July)?

Edit: I see the Musk Stans are out to downvote this take. I’d love to see their actual arguments for how SpaceX has quadrupled in value in the past 18 months though.

Bloomberg is a wealth porn outlet. They sell the lifestyle of the .1% as something the average person can aspire too. Bullshit. Bloomberg is part of the problem.

  3. As usual, IPO of this size is rarely a good buy. Don’t be the exit liquidity for the rich people. Unless you really think space sector is the place to be in the next 20 years.

On another note, Rocket Lab is what retail investors have been holding, so far so good.

  4. Must be nice to have the ability to pull eBay “put a bottlecap on sale for $800b” logic and actually have it *work*.*

** for those whom it’s* ***allowed*** *to “work” for. >.>*

  5. if/when SpaceX IPO’s then TSLA will go down right? for years we’ve been told that the two entities are somehow intertwined thus buoying shitty TSLA so separate entities should see a drop, right? right?

A rocket company that that takes billions in government handouts still wasn’t profitable so they started an Internet company to get more government handouts which still hasn’t been profitable

The heavy lift rocket is 5 years behind schedule at minimum if not closer to 10-infinity.

Let be clear SpaceX still doesn’t know how many launches it will take to refill starship to reach lunar orbit.

So Boeing employs 10x the number of employees, but would be valued about 0.25 as much. and basically powers the entire air travel industry. Space X has a headstart on the purported space travel industry
