Kosovo has begun accepting migrants deported from the United States who are not of Kosovar origin, Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti said late on Thursday.

Kosovo agreed to a request from the administration of President Donald Trump to initially accept 50 deportees.

“We are accepting those whom the United States did not want on its territory,” Kurti told Kanal10 television, Reuters reported.

He did not provide details on which countries they came from and said that only one or two migrants have arrived so far.
