  1. From the article

Baltimore, Philadelphia, St. Louis, and Pittsburgh are the next stops for Waymo’s growing fleet. In each of these cities, the company has already started its manual-driving phase, marking the first stage of preparation for public robotaxi deployment. Philadelphia, in particular, is moving into supervised autonomous testing, showing that the groundwork for fully driverless rides is steadily being laid.

By starting small, Waymo ensures that its technology **adapts to local road conditions, traffic density, and pedestrian behavior**. This careful expansion underscores the company’s philosophy: autonomous mobility should be incremental, tested, and safe, rather than rushed. These cities now join a wider list of urban areas where Waymo has established operations, reflecting the company’s steady growth across the United States.

  2. That’s awesome. Waymos aren’t perfect and we all know it. But we don’t need perfection. We just need better than human drivers. And I think it’s abundantly clear that Waymo has cleared that bar.

My only concern is how they handle the snowy weather of the northeast. But excited to have these in the city. Even though long term i think the tesla model is wayy more profitable.

  4. just wondering how much cheaper will taking the robo taxi be compared to regular cabs/ubers?

  5. How is this real life? Someone please pinch me. IDK how all lawyers simultaneously become feckless morons, but the ‘rise’ of these ‘self-driving-cars’ is the downfall of logic and good behavior of man. You can’t let machines kill people it’s paramount to revolt against the people allowing it.
