      If we want to survive we need to stitch to EU and isolate form the USA. Trump is one of the most unpredictable people on planet Earth, USA should never be trusted as long as he’s the president and maybe even further.

      Poland relies on US for the military protection, this does not interfere with relying on EU for economy.

      The funny thing is that Poland is really the linchpin of that whole stupid US plan because without Poland, the other 3 countries they wanted to pry from the EU would have no access to the sea. They’d be doomed without free trade through the EU.

      I’d suggest everyone here to cool down. Everyone of you is always screaming so loud about far right pushing russian agenda and you don’t see that causing a stir and further distrust/hatred between EU and USA by the case of pulling some countries away from the EU is fully intact with russian agenda and interests and is based on non confirmed rumors which are from uncertain source. I don’t believe that USA under Trump is a russian poppet and I think anyone who believes so is naive and blinded by hatred towards Trump.

      I’m not saying whether it’s true ot not true, but I would suggest to stop for a while and think whether it’s in our interest to burn bridges with USA now and whether it’s possible that this leak is a russian propaganda

      I have worked with and made good friends with many intelligent, ambitious, educated, hardworking and immensely likeable Polish nationals. Since my first visit to Warsaw and Krakow in the late 90’s and on through Poland gaining EU membership I have been impressed by how ‘sturdy’ you are as a people. You give such a good representation of yourselves and I can see that as a whole you are good people. As an Irishman I can see all over my country how much of a positive contribution you have made both to Ireland and to all our EU brothers and sisters.

      I write this as a single voice amongst millions of those who will feel the same way, to remind you all that we’re glad you’re with us and we’ll walk difficult paths together. All the noise, the antagonistic voices from near and far away, their cynical and sinister efforts to distract and divide us, they only have an ear if you lend yours to them.

      Don’t let them. Remind those close to you that we’re here for each other in the EU and while we can’t all get everything we want from time to time, we’ll all do better together than divided and isolated from neighbours who share the same values. The politicians will come and go countless times through our lifetimes, but we’ll all still be good neighbours, colleagues, supporters and friends if we back each other up when the bullies pick a fight.

      Words, expressing a heartfelt sentiment. I hope it means something to at least somebody who might imagine nobody else gives a shit. Stay strong, keep being who you are as a people and a nation.

      As we might say, sure they’re only a shower of bollixes.

      It has been quite obvious these days. Trump feels threatened. It’s way easier to impose one’s will on 27 individuals than on a union. Europe united is strong, and the Trump administration doesn’t want that. Hopefully, the EU will wake up before it’s too late that this administration is less and less an ally.
