The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, traveled to Brussels this Tuesday in connection with the EU–Western Balkans Leaders’ Summit, which will be held tomorrow in Brussels.
According to the Presidency, the summit will discuss the partnership between the European Union and the Western Balkans, with particular emphasis on the EU enlargement process and the advancement of the region’s European perspective.
The President will hold meetings with leaders of EU institutions and will also have the opportunity to speak with other participating leaders on issues of interest to Kosovo. The lifting of measures against Kosovo and progress on the path toward integration will be top priorities during the discussions.
The summit’s agenda also includes the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, strengthening economic integration with the EU single market, as well as issues related to economic development, investments, and reforms.
According to the presidency’s statement, leaders will also discuss cooperation in the field of security and defense, including the common foreign and security policy, addressing hybrid and cyber threats, as well as migration management and shared regional and European challenges.
