At first I thought it might have been a tribute to the people who died in Għar il-kbir, but looking closer there was various fruit and veg which may imply some kind of offering?? I could not find any reference to this place being a regular place people would go to. I am so curious.

That’s pretty cool. Ghar il kbir is such a fun place, so steeped on history and the fact that you have to kind of look for it, but then once you’ve found it it’s so wow…it’s one of those places I always take visitors
