East Texas business owners Daniel and Cooper Nagore-Adams donated 200 Build-A-Bears to local agencies to comfort children in crises, marking their largest gift yet.
TYLER, Texas — Two East Texas business owners donated 200 Build-A-Bears to comfort children during times of crisis, medical emergencies and traumatic events.
Daniel and Cooper Nagore-Adams gave the bears to the Smith County Sheriff’s Office, Tyler Police Department, UT Health Tyler and Christus Trinity Mother Frances Health System as part of their Beary Merry Christmas initiative. The donation was celebrated at a ceremony Wednesday at the Pyron Garden in Tyler.
The bears seek to help children in times of need like medical emergencies and traumatic events. This was the fifth year of the Beary Merry Christmas and the largest donation made yet.
“For several years, this has been a meaningful way for us to give back during the Christmas season to our community and the organizations that serve us,” Daniel and Cooper Nagore-Adams, owners of Nagore Consulting Group, said in a joint statement. “We are honored to expand the reach of this effort and support even more organizations that care for children and families during difficult moments.”
