Bit of an obscure thing to chant. Surprised anyone even knows that it means.
The government has said they want it banned, the police have said they will arrest people for it (and have now done so). Now we have to see what the courts think.
The police don’t decide what you can and cannot say. These arrests are just an intimidation strategy.
Legitimately one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen (if not tragic) was the local LGBT group co-opting the term for a “queer intifada”.
Obviously they have far worse things to worry about but I can’t imagine the Palestinians would be too pleased by that particular group appropriating their struggles.
