John Guillory, pictured with St. Landry Parish President Jessie Bellard, receives his free Christmas turkey after purchasing $30 worth of groceries from Bennie’s Supermarket. Parish government partnered with Benny’s Supermarket to host the Christmas Turkey Giveaway which began on Thursday, Dec. 18, at 9 a.m. and continued to all turkeys were distributed. Over 200 birds were given out by parish government staff on a first come first basis.
“This partnership with Benny’s allows us to help local families enjoy a holiday meal during a
time when many are facing increased costs and challenges,” said Parish President Bellard. “We
are grateful for the opportunity to give back and support our community together.”
