Aside from the existing travel destinations to and from Swiss airports, a number of new ones will be added throughout 2026.
Let’s look at the Zurich Airport first
From its hub, SWISS airline will offer increased services to destinations like Rome (up to 21 flights weekly), Manchester (up to 15 weekly), Porto (up to 14 weekly), Naples (six weekly), and Krakow (nine weekly).
SWISS will also launch two new European flights from Zurich.
One, starting on March 29th, will go to the Polish city of Poznan, where the airline will fly on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The other new addition to the airline’s European route network is Rijeka on Croatia’s Adriatic coast, with two weekly flights – on Mondays and Fridays – during July and August.
On the long-haul route, Switzerland’s national airline will inaugurate its new flights to Boston, beginning on January 1st, 2026.
They will operate, initially four times a week, with SWISS’s brand-new Airbus A350-900.
According to SWISS Chief Commercial Officer Heike Birlenbach, the airline will also fly soccer fans “daily or even several times a day” to FIFA World Cup sites in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and Miami.
From April 26th, five flights a week will also go to Toronto, another 2026 World Cup venue.
In all, SWISS will serve a total of 112 destinations from Zurich and Geneva in its 2026 summer schedule.
“Travellers from Zurich will be offered 70 European and 25 intercontinental destinations, while services from Geneva will extend to New York and 29 short-haul destinations,” Birlenbach said.

As for Edelweiss, SWISS’ sister airline, it has also added a number of new destinations from its Zurich hub.
On seasonal basis it will fly from Zurich to Luleå, a coastal city in Swedish Lapland.
There will be five flights in January, four in February, and four in March as well.
If you prefer a bit of tropics during the cold months, Edelweiss has added two destinations in Cape Verde: it will go to São Vicente and Praia until March 2026.
The number of flights each week will depend on the month.

Also, Air Baltic is further expanding its route network to and from Switzerland.
Starting on May 3rd, the airline will offer a new nonstop service between Zurich and Vilnius.
Three weekly flights are planned, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
The new route complements the existing service from Switzerland to the Baltic region – namely, the Zurich-Riga and Geneva-Riga flights.
And there will be another new flight as well: Oman Air will operate year-round flights between Zurich and Muscat in 2026
As part of its summer schedule, the carrier will serve the route three times a week from May to September.
These nonstop flights will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
It will offer passengers from Switzerland not only a direct access to Oman, but also to key destinations in the Far East, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent via Oman Air’s Muscat hub.

From Geneva
SWISS added new direct flights to Dublin, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Gothenburg, which will operate until March 28th.
As for EasyJet, one change is that its flights between Geneva and Valletta will no longer be seasonal.
Instead, the low-cost airline will operate two weekly flights, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, allowing travellers to enjoy Malta all year round.
EasyJet also added two new routes from Geneva: to Rennes and Skopje.
These two flights will be operated twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
After Lanzarote, Tenerife South and Gran Canaria, the airline is also adding Fuerteventura to its list of destinations in the Canary Islands from Geneva. Flights will operate every Saturday.

From Basel EuroAirport
Several new flight destinations will be offered or relaunched in 2026 from this particular airport as well.
They include London Luton via EasyJet (five times /weekly), Morocco’s capital Rabat with Air Arabia (twice a week), as well as the Spanish cities of Seville and Valencia, both twice a week, also with EasyJet.
However, this airport will be almost at a standstill between April 15th and May 20th.
That’s because EuroAirport will be renovating its main runway, causing all but one of its airlines to cancel their flights during this time.
“For the duration of the refurbishment work, only EasyJet will maintain an adjusted selection of flight destinations out of EuroAirport,” the airport said on its website. “These flight services will be reduced compared to the regular summer schedule but will continue to ensure connections to key European metropolitan areas as well as to selected leisure and city destinations.”
The airline will fly only to nearby destinations, such as Hamburg, Palermo, London, Palma de Mallorca, Porto, and Barcelona, before all flights resume as normal from May 21st.
