This is absolutely a blast. I guarantee you will eat some of the best borscht of your life. And you will be many lovely people. It’s run by my brothers and sisters from “ Ukrainians In Trier” and “ hands for helping”

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

    There are scents that evoke memories of home.

    There are flavors that bring back childhood memories.

    And there are festivals that connect people – with warmth, with tradition, with a language that every heart understands.

    We warmly invite you to experience this feeling with us at the Borscht Festival 2025, taking place on December 20th, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, in Trier, near the Porta Nigra.

    Here, borscht isn’t just cooked – it’s told, shared, and passed on. Every spoonful carries a story, every cook is a guardian of culture, and every guest becomes part of a large community.

    This year, our visitors can expect a special, rich program:

    – numerous entertaining competitions and interactive activities, hosted by our presenters – with fantastic prizes for the winners;

    – A craft fair,

    where talented master craftswomen will present their lovingly handcrafted works;

    – And as the highlight of the festival: Together with the chefs from our team and the Pfalzel Volunteer Fire Department, we will be cooking the largest pot of borscht ever prepared at our events.

    – You can also expect a variety of culinary specialties – different borscht variations, varenyky, cabbage rolls, and sweet surprises, as well as aromatic mulled wine to warm you up even more during the winter.

    With this festival, we not only want to create opportunities for connection but also do good: We are collecting donations for humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

    A raffle with prizes from regional and national partners might even bring a little Christmas miracle.

    We would be delighted to welcome you as our honored guests – as friends, supporters, and people for whom solidarity is important.

    Together, we will create a festival where tradition lives, music fills the air, and hope is palpable.

    Come and join us – and bring your friends!

    We look forward to seeing you!

    Sincerely,
    Ukrainians in Trier e.V. and Many Hands for Hope e.V.

  2. I think there is an error in the title, title says 29th december but picture and OP comment says 20th december. Do you know how much the borscht would cost +-? Or is it that you get borscht and you pay what you want/can?
