The federal police keep calling me. Sometimes with a Sunrise number. That’s very strange. They always hang up in the middle of the conversation. They’re not very nice. I’ve already contacted my provider. They’re not really doing anything about it.
They’re no cops. They have no reason to speak English.
Why not return your answer in swiss german? They probably won’t. Either way, don’t accept the call next time. Maybe go to the real police, but I doubt they can do anything

It’s a scam, don’t waste your time, you can hang up immediately

That’s a scam.

It’s an obvious scam, Swiss policemen can barely speak German/French/Italian, they don’t know how to speak English.
(obviously that was a joke but srsly, it’s a scam)

I’m guessing that until now you have understood that who’s calling you is not the “Swiss Federal Police”. It’s a scam and you can report it to the Cantonal Police of your canton. It’s not strange, it is quite a normal and frequent scam. If you get numerous calls then your number has been leaked somewhere.

This is like posting Spam-Mails? Is this real or did I really win alot of money?
Last time I used the best French accent I could get and the guy hang up on me! I’m not even worth a scam!

If any Swiss authority wants something from you, they will send you a letter first. They. Will. Not. Call. You.
There is practically no exception to that rule.

Now I want the follow up man, come on…. You cut right when it was getting interesting.
That said the SVP might be right, why the police is hiring Indians who only speak english to be our policemen? /s

Ahh, I had a few amusing conversations with the *federal police” when they called me, they told me they are based in Bern, the dialect was peak Bernese German, we made a litte quiz. But of course, I never called them back.
I really wonder how anyone can be fooled by such a poor scam. But somehow they must make enought money….

I had mega fun once when they called me and I answered, stating that I had committed something or was being accused/investigated
Then they proceeded to ask for my name… Brother you called ME and you’re THE POLICE, if anything, you should know more about me than I do
Not to mention my phone number isn’t registered under my name, but my wife’s (no number is under my name actually), so if anything, it should be sus to them that I’m a male
