The Bahamas has become the 121st country to recognize Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state.
Such news was announced by President Vjosa Osmani on Friday.
President Osmani considered this recognition a historic decision.
“Another historic decision for our country. The Bahamas becomes the 121st state to recognize Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state. Congratulations to all the citizens of our Republic! We have just signed, here in the capital of the Bahamas, the bilateral agreement for recognition and establishment of diplomatic relations with the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, our good friend Philip Davis.”
In a press conference with Osmani, Prime Minister Davis said that Kosovo can rely on the Bahamas as a reliable and stable partner.
“This is, without a doubt, a historic moment for both our countries and our peoples,” Davis said.
“There is no doubt that this is the beginning of a relationship that we will aim to strengthen. There are many areas where we can develop cooperation, especially in a world where there are geopolitical challenges, which affect us all,” he added. /Telegraph/
