CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Emergency officials in Cambria County say Route 219 northbound, near the New Germany overpass, was shut down for several hours Friday afternoon, following a two-vehicle crash.

911 dispatchers say the crash was reported just after 1 p.m. and sent two people to the hospital.

According to witnesses, the crash reportedly involved a coal truck and a passenger vehicle.

While officials have not confirmed the extent of any injuries, officials say multiple area departments were on scene to assist with the highway closure and cleanup.

The highway has since reopened.
