The average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities in Croatia reached €1,470 in October, according to data published on Friday by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.

On an annual basis, the average net salary was 9.7 percent higher in nominal terms and 5.9 percent higher in real terms compared to October last year. When compared with September 2025, the average net salary increased by 1 percent nominally and 0.4 percent in real terms.

The highest average net salary in October was recorded in the air transport sector, where employees earned an average of €2,397, while the lowest average salary was paid in the manufacture of clothing, at €948.

The median net salary for October stood at €1,281, meaning that half of employees earned less than this amount and half earned more. The median salary rose 1.7 percent compared to September and was 10.4 percent higher than in October last year.

The average net hourly wage amounted to €7.91 in October. This represents a 3.2 percent decrease compared with September, but a 9.7 percent increase year-on-year.
