Hello r/dataisbeautiful, first time poster here!

On October 14 2024 I started my weight loss journey at 137.6kg (303lb), with the help of GLP1 drugs. On that day I made a plan, I would eat basically the exact same thing every single day, 1400kcal of frozen individual meals and protein bars, all with a calorie label. That's only 4 items per day, 4 numbers to add up, which makes calorie counting extremely accurate *and* easy, provided you can stomach eating the same thing every day (which if anything I actually prefer)

Thanks to my Apple Watch I also had a pretty accurate idea of my TDEE, and used this as a baseline. Then I made a spreadsheet which each day would calculate how much weight I would lose according to CICO, then adjust my TDEE in response to the weight drop using known formulas fine tuned to my Apple Watch estimate. The blue line in this graph starts lower than the first red dot because I used my week 1 weigh in to eliminate the massive week 1 water weight drop from the data. It's not "real" weight loss.

On Nov. 14 2025, after 13 months of weight loss, I weighed 70.7kg (156lb) which was only half a lb above the prediction I had made for this exact day 13 months prior. I have now been maintaining this weight for the past month

  1. Do you still eat the same things daily? If so, do you think that if you changed from that routine you’d end up regaining?

Good work! I don’t think I could eat the same thing every day, but it’s clearly done wonders

  3. I see why people love GLP1, currently doing the same from roughly the same starting point but natural. Around 120 my progress slowed down a lot and it will probably take like 1.5-2 years overall to reach ~85kg. I am now at 114kg after half a year, but not eating too strictly.

I hope you are working out properly and don’t fall back into old habits, then you should be set for a much more healthy life.
