Farmers blocking border crossings again

Protesting farmers on Saturday decided to continue blocking customs offices at Greece’s international borders.

Farmers at the Exochi border crossing with Bulgaria are escalating their protests and will not allow the passage of trucks until 22:00 on Saturday night. On Friday, their mobilisation lasted eight hours. They will hold a general assembly at 19:00 on Saturday to decide their actions on the following day.

Protesters at the Promachonas crossing, which is also near the border with Bulgaria, are preparing to perhaps block the passage of trucks until 8 p.m., depending on what decision is taken at a meeting of their coordinating committee.

There will be a four-hour blockade of the Evzoni customs office bordering North Macedonia, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday, applied to all classes of vehicles.
