It’s crazy that there is a sizable number within the right wing that fully support this in probably many countries. People (in general) don’t have babies if you can’t raise them safely. Having a tiny human that is dependent on the parent for a good 10 years for survival requires stability and a naturing environment. You also need people having babies that don’t end up in prison which is a major problem in the population that has babies that shouldn’t be having them.

It’s kinda hilarious how hamstrung Russia is by Putin. They could have 5x the economy and prestige and still be the 3rd world power if they just had a normal semi-democratic system like the rest of the world. Instead, you get shit like this and the embarrassment that invading Ukraine has become at this point. If it weren’t for the oil, nukes and their intelligence apparatus inherited from the Soviet Union, they would be your run of the mill 3rd world country.
