It is worth noting this comes on the heels of De Lijn beginning to fine people with active subscriptions who did not validate their mobib upon entering a bus or tram, in addition to the claiming that 4% of riders do not have a valid ticket. Whether that 4% includes the aforementioned actively subscribed yet unvalidated has not been made clear.
They’ve been all over the news lately with their fines and strict procedures. How badly do they need money 😭
But they never check so what’s the use?
They probably don’t dare doing it because of the chance pearls we have attracted threatening their lives for the smallest remark.
