Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, after meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, announced that they will soon sign a reciprocal visa waiver agreement with the Bahamas, the country that recently recognized Kosovo’s citizenship, in Washington.

“We continued to the Bahamas where we received recognition from this country. The establishment of diplomatic relations and we also reached an agreement with the Prime Minister of the Bahamas for the mutual abolition of visas, which is very good news and this agreement will be signed soon here in Washington DC,” Osmani declared after the meeting with the US Deputy Secretary of State.

The Bahamas has become the 121st country to recognize Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state, President Vjosa Osmani announced on Friday, December 19.

She announced that in the capital of the Bahamas she signed a bilateral agreement for recognition and establishment of diplomatic relations with the island located in the Caribbean.
