Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is expanding its esports scene, with developers announcing an upcoming mobile esports infrastructure in Germany.

Germany is Europe’s largest gaming market, but mobile esports are a new ground for the country. Now, Der Deutsche Mobile Gaming and Esport Bund Deutschland e.V are launching the country’s first official ML:BB national team qualification in January 2026.

From January to Spring 2026, Mobile Legends players will compete in a multi-stage qualification system in an attempt to become the final members for Germany’s national Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team. The goal? Compete in international tournaments, representing Germany.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang grows esports scene in Germany with help from the pros
Germany already has some established Mobile Legends: Bang Bang players who will help build the national team. This includes Kid Bomba and Boro, who have already competed internationally.

Kid Bomba currently competes as an EXP laner with Team Spirit, which secured first place at the ML:BB Continental Championships Season 6 this year. He also placed in the Top 8 at the Mid-Season Cup 2025 and competed at the Moonton World Championships M6 in 2024.

Meanwhile, Boro is competing with Verso Time, which placed third at the ML:BB Continental Championships Season 6. He also showed his skills at the MPL MENA Season 5 and Snapdragon Pro Series EMEA tournaments.

Kid Bomba and Boro know the game well – and know the competition. They will be invaluable on the expert jury, helping to evaluate the hopefuls.

“Anyone who plays at the level of Kid Bomba and Boro knows exactly what matters,” said Deutscher Mobile Gaming e.V. founding member Kyle “Cobra” Kusco.

“Their  expertise is invaluable – they have firsthand knowledge of the demands of international  tournaments and are better than anyone else at assessing which talents have the potential to  represent Germany on the world stage.”

How the qualification program will work
There will be three phases in place to select the members of the national team.

First is the Qualifiers, which take place in January and February. One qualifier is player-based, focused on solo talent, while the other is for existing teams to be evaluated for synergy and strategy.

Then, February to March, teams will compete against one another at the German Community League. Individual performance and victories will be counted and evaluated.

“We see what is possible in other countries,” said Deutscher Mobile Gaming e.V. founder Daniel “Dragul” Breuninger.

“The Philippines has won several world championships, Indonesia has millions of active players, and even Turkey is years ahead of us. Germany has the potential to catch up – but only if we lay the ground work now.

“With players like Kid Bomba and Boro, we have already proven that we can keep up. Now we need the structures to systematically promote this talent.”

All qualifying tournaments will be broadcast live on Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok. The community can follow the entire process.
