More than 600 people have applied for 200 jobs with the Grand Ducal Police in their latest hiring spree.
“The police are pleased to note that many candidates have registered for the special police entrance exam as part of the 2025/2026 recruitment campaign,” the service said in a press release Monday.
Some 622 people have registered to take entrance exams for two particular pay grades and another 27 people for a different pay grade, the release said.

The next step in the recruitment process is an entrance exam which will take place in the coming weeks and months.
“Its aim is to determine candidates’ suitability for the profession and to establish a ranking to select the 200 future trainee civil servants [for the first two pay grades],” the police statement said.
Candidates will also have to undergo a physical fitness test, French and German language tests and a general knowledge test.
Anyone who passes this stage will have a psychological aptitude test and an interview in Luxembourgish.
Those that make the selection will begin training at the academy in Spring 2026.
